Black Star Restorative Initiative (BSRI) Black Maternal Health Circles

We seek to address the symptoms of deep-rooted problems within the healthcare environment prioritizing Black Maternal Health. We use art and culture to focus on healing, education, and community support. We aim to mitigate the barriers to health equity and create a future where Black Maternal Health is prioritized and protected.

Black Star Restorative Initiative (BSRI) Youth Leadership

We provide leadership opportunities for youth through a culturally responsive and restorative lens. Youth have the unique opportunity to build community and systems of support that are grounded in art and culture, focusing on their values and belief systems. Our unique approach affords youth the opportunity to be mentored by adults that reflect them throughout their restorative leadership journey.

Black Star Restorative Initiative (BSRI) Healing Circles

In response to requests for spaces to address trauma and daily lived experiences, we partner with community to cultivate intergenerational affirming and restorative spaces for healing.  We use art and culture to

co-create safe and brave spaces for people to tell their stories in communities that share their same or similar experiences.

Black Star Restorative Initiative (BSRI) Fellowship

Black Star Restorative Initiative Fellowship is an experience that includes a life changing curated learning exchange to Ghana. We use art and culture as a fundamental part of this cultural immersion. Our fellowship is designed to help Afro-Descendants Reconnect, Reclaim and Restore culture as a meaningful healing practice.
